Women's Charlie Pants - Engineer Stripe - Organic Cotton

A carpenter pant's usefulness in a silhouette you can wear anywhere. The Charlie is cut from organic cotton twill in Jackalo's signature engineer stripe, a fine workwear stripe woven into the cloth rather than printed on it, so it will not fade off the surface. It hits at the ankle and closes with a zip fly at the front, while elastic across the back lets the waist move with you instead of gapping when you sit down or crouch.

The knees are reinforced, which is the first place any pant gives out if you spend your days kneeling on a floor with a small child, digging in a garden or climbing a ladder. Twill is a hard-wearing weave to start with, so this is a pant you can wear hard on an ordinary Tuesday and still feel dressed in.

Jackalo's cotton is GOTS-certified organic and the pant is sewn in a Fair Trade certified facility. The company offsets the carbon produced in all phases of its work and commits 1 percent of annual sales to 1% for the Planet. The stripe does the work of a pattern without asking anything of the rest of your outfit.

Organic cotton twill, GOTS-certified organic, with the stripe woven in. The rear waistband is elastic.

Sizing

Sizes run true to size. If you are between sizes, size up. The pant sits 1 to 2 inches below the natural waist, depending on torso length, and hits at the ankle. Organic cotton may shrink about 3 to 5 percent in the first wash.

Care

Pre-treat stains with an eco-friendly treatment such as oxygen bleach or castile soap. Wash in cool water. Air dry, or tumble dry on low. Don't wash what isn't dirty.
