Veronica Pillow

A cushion cover in blue and white stripes, the pattern running vertically down both faces. Named after Veronica, the weaver who made it. Closes with a concealed zip at the bottom.

Woven on a foot-pedal loom by a women's weaving cooperative in an indigenous community in the Western Highlands of Guatemala, using back-strap and pedal-loom techniques and dyes made from bark and flowers. The cooperative pays its weavers a fair wage and gives women in remote areas a way to earn an income from home.

Materials

Handwoven cotton, dyed with natural dyes made from bark and flowers.

20" × 20".

Care

Dry clean, or hand wash cold and line dry in the shade.
