Pure Beeswax Candle in Blown Glass

Beeswax poured into hand-blown amber glass made by artisans in Mexico from post-consumer recycled material. Each vessel is its own thing — the bubbles and curves show the hand that blew it, and lit from inside the glass looks like molten honey.

The wax is cappings beeswax, filtered just enough to take out particulate while leaving the honey scent and golden colour, which is what gives a bright flame rather than a struggling one. The 22oz three-wick is a centrepiece; the 8oz single wick spreads amber light around a room.

Materials

100% pure cappings beeswax with a cotton wick, in hand-blown glass made from 100% post-consumer recycled material.

Size

8oz: 2.5" diameter × 3.65" high, around 35 hours. 22oz three-wick: 4.25" diameter × 3.8" high, around 40 hours. Each vessel is handmade, so sizes vary slightly.

Care

Trim the wick to 1/4" before each lighting. Let the melt pool reach the edge of the glass before putting it out, or it will tunnel.
