Plant Dyed Makira Moon Wild Silk Wall Hanging in Rose Gold
Free US shipping over $150 · 30-day returns
Details
The full moon rising over Makira Natural Park, rendered in wild silk and dyed a warm rose gold. The park sits just outside the wild silk communities that make this piece, and it brings a genuinely spectacular local sight indoors.
The silk is Ceranchia, a wild moth species found only in Madagascar. The cocoons are sustainably harvested, ironed flat and sewn together, then dyed with plants from the artisans' own dye garden — this one with Hazovola, whose name means money tree, which gives the rose gold. The gold moon is the natural undyed colour of the silk itself.
Comes with a bamboo pole, so it is ready to hang out of the box.
