Organic Cotton Sammie Under Shorts - Beetle Mania Print

The Sammie is the layer that makes a dress wearable for a child who wants to hang upside down from it. Soft organic cotton, cut short and close, screen printed all over in the Beetle Mania print. Worn under a skirt they disappear and let her get on with the day; worn on their own as bike shorts they look entirely deliberate.

The fit has enough give to move in, which is the whole point on a bike, mid-cartwheel, or halfway up something she should probably come down from. Sizes run 4Y to 14Y. The cotton is organic and produced in fair trade facilities, Jackalo gives 1% of annual sales to 1% for the Planet and offsets the carbon produced across its work. Add a pair, or two, and stop negotiating about skirts.

Sizing

Sizes run true to size. If your child is between sizes, size up. The cotton may shrink about 3–5% on the first wash. Measure your child to choose: around the chest just under the armpit, around the waist at its narrowest, and around the fullest part of the hips.

Care

Pre-treat stains with an eco-friendly treatment such as oxygen bleach or castile soap. Wash in cool water. Air dry, or tumble dry on low. Don’t wash what isn’t dirty.
