Ollie Shorts - Organic Cotton

The Ollie Short is the one that gets worn every day from May to September. Organic cotton jersey, light enough that a child forgets it is on, in three colours that work with the plain t-shirts already in the drawer.

The waist is a comfortable elastic band with a natural cotton drawstring, and the side pockets are deep enough to hold a handful of conkers, a bouncy ball and whatever else comes home from the park. Soft and easy to move in, for park days, back garden afternoons and a cool-down on the sofa afterwards.

Jackalo makes these in small batches in India and builds them to be handed down rather than replaced each summer. Jackalo offsets the carbon produced in every phase of their work and commits 1% of annual sales through 1% for the Planet.

Materials

Organic cotton jersey, knitted in a Fair Trade and GOTS certified facility. Jackalo states that their cotton is 100% organic.

Sizing

Sizes run true to size. If your child is between sizes, size up. Organic cotton may shrink about 3 to 5 percent in the first wash. These sit one to two inches below the natural waist. To choose a size, measure your child around the chest just under the armpit, around the waist at its narrowest point, and around the fullest part of the hips.

Care

Pre-treat stains with an eco-friendly treatment such as oxygen bleach or castile soap. Wash in cool water. Air dry, or tumble dry on low. Wash only what is actually dirty.
