Madagascar Silk Harvest Moon Wall Hanging

The full moon rising over Makira Natural Park, rendered in dyed and undyed mulberry silk — this one as the Harvest Moon, the full moon nearest the start of autumn that farmers have always used to work the fields late into the night.

Made from Bombyx cocoon silk, harvested and sewn by hand. It comes with a bamboo rod, so it is ready to hang, and in two sizes depending on how much wall you are filling.

Dyed and undyed Bombyx cocoon silk. Bamboo hanging rod included.

Two sizes: 18 in by 18 in, or 24 in by 24 in.

Handmade from start to finish in northeastern Madagascar.
