Jules Jeans - Organic Cotton

The Jules Jeans are the toughest trousers Jackalo makes: 12 oz heavyweight organic cotton denim, cut relaxed, built for climbing, crawling and the kind of play that finishes off ordinary jeans by October.

These are real denim, so they start out stiff and soften with every wash until they fit like a favourite pair. The knees are reinforced where children wear through first, the waistband is adjustable, and there are roomy front pockets and patch pockets at the back. The fabric is made without PFAS, formaldehyde or phthalates.

Because the denim gets better rather than worse, these are the pair worth buying for a child who has a younger sibling behind them. Jackalo offsets the carbon produced in every phase of their work and commits 1% of annual sales through 1% for the Planet.

12 oz heavyweight organic cotton denim, woven in a Fair Trade and GOTS certified facility.

Sizing

Sizes run true to size, with extra length built into the leg. If your child is between sizes, size up. Organic cotton may shrink about 3 to 5 percent in the first wash. These jeans sit one to two inches below the natural waist. To choose a size, measure your child around the chest just under the armpit, around the waist at its narrowest point, and around the fullest part of the hips.

Care

Pre-treat stains with an eco-friendly treatment such as oxygen bleach or castile soap. Wash in cool water. Air dry, or tumble dry on low. Wash only what is actually dirty.
