Handmade Stoneware Large Pitcher

Exposed rough stoneware that still shows where the artisans' fingers were during throwing, smoothed at the sides but with the pores of the clay left visible. The inside carries an opaque white glaze. Sold individually.

The classic pitcher shape earns its keep: the density of the stoneware keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold between pours, and it works just as well as a vase for cut flowers. CREATING COMFORT makes these in its studio in Ukraine and directs part of its proceeds to Ukrainian refugees inside the country.

Stoneware, finished with a food-safe, lead-free glaze.

Made to order — allow one to four weeks, unless the piece is already in the US warehouse, in which case it ships right away. Every piece is thrown and finished by hand, so size, glaze tone and surface vary a little from one to the next.
