Hand Painted Stoneware Dinner Plate

A dinner plate from CREATING COMFORT's Heritage Collection, hand-painted with traditional Ukrainian motifs and sold individually. The rim is sculpted by hand and left slightly irregular, and the outside of the plate is unglazed so the stoneware shows, against a smooth glossy glaze on the eating surface. The painting is applied underglaze, which protects it from wear.

Each plate is made and painted by hand in CREATING COMFORT's studio in Ukraine.

Materials

Stoneware, with a raw unglazed exterior and a glossy, food-safe glazed interior. The decoration is painted underglaze.

Size

Height 1.2", diameter 10.6", weight about 1.2 kg.

Care

Dishwasher safe, though hand washing is recommended to protect the painted detail. Not microwave safe. Avoid abrasive cleaning tools on the glaze.

Please note

Each plate is shaped and painted by hand, so size, shape and pattern vary slightly from one to the next.
