Frankie Long-Sleeved T-Shirt

A better basic, built to outlast the rest. The Frankie is a long-sleeved crewneck in soft, heavy-enough cotton jersey, the shirt that goes under everything from September onward and gets worn on its own once the weather turns. Reinforced seams are the reason it survives the season: the stress points are stitched to take the pulling, the sleeve tugging and the hundredth trip through the machine.

The crewneck sits clean and the arms have room to move, so it layers under a sweatshirt without bunching at the shoulder. It comes in Gray and in Hunter Green, both made without PFAS or harsh chemicals.

Order one in each color and you have the base of the whole winter wardrobe.

Materials

Hunter Green: organic cotton jersey, sewn in a Fair Trade certified facility. Gray: cotton jersey cut from surplus fabric left over from other production runs. The cotton in it is organic, but the finished garment is not certified organic.

Sizing

This one runs small, so size up. Sizes otherwise run true with extra length built in, and if your child is between sizes, size up. Organic cotton shrinks about 3 to 5% in the first wash. To measure, take the chest just under the armpit, the waist at its narrowest point and the hips at their fullest.

Care

Pre-treat stains with an eco-friendly treatment such as oxygen bleach or castile soap. Wash in cool water. Air dry, or tumble dry on low. Don't wash what isn't dirty.
