Eagle Bio-Acetate Sunglasses

Polarized lenses rated UV400 — the maximum ultraviolet rating — take the glare off the road, the water and the snow and block UV at the same time, so bright flat days stop making you squint. The lens is built up in nine layers: one polarizing layer at the core, four that handle ultraviolet, two that resist scratches and two that absorb a knock. The lenses are approved to CE standards in Europe and by the FDA in the United States.

The frame is bio-acetate — acetate made from cotton and wood pulp instead of petroleum, softened with plant-based plasticisers rather than petrochemical ones. It comes in Tortoise, Black and Green.

Each pair arrives with a tri-fold cork case, a microfibre cleaning cloth and a linen drawstring bag, so there is somewhere to put them the moment you take them off. Choose your colour and wear them out of the box.

Materials

Frame: bio-acetate made from cotton and wood pulp, with plant-based plasticisers. Lenses: polarized TAC (cellulose triacetate), rated UV400.

Care

Rinse them under water as often as they need it and dry them with the microfibre cloth. Keep saltwater and chlorinated water off the lenses. Store them in the case when you are not wearing them.
