9" Grey and White Marbled Ceramic Coupe Bowl

The marbled bowl in white and gray, opened out wide and shallow so it serves as a bowl or a plate depending on the meal. Pasta, salad, a main course that needs a rim. Two clay bodies thrown together on the wheel, so the marbling is different on every piece.

The gray against the white reads cooler than the brown colorways — closer to stone than to earth.

Materials

High-fire stoneware. Exterior unglazed white and granite stoneware; interior glazed glossy creme.

Sizing

Approximately 9 in across, 1.5 in high.

Care

Food safe, microwave safe and dishwasher safe. Washing by hand is recommended and will keep the glaze looking its best.

Each piece is thrown and glazed by hand, so size, shape and marbling vary from the photographs. On high-fire stoneware the clay body itself shifts between lighter and darker tones from one firing to the next.
