9.5" Brown and White Marbled Ceramic Coupe Bowl

The marbled bowl in white and brown, opened out wide and shallow so it works as a bowl or a plate depending on what you put in it. Pasta, a dressed salad, a single generous helping of something. Two clay bodies thrown together on the wheel, so the marbling is unrepeatable from one piece to the next.

At 9.5 in across it is the largest of the marbled range and the one that holds a place setting together.

Materials

High-fire stoneware. Exterior unglazed white and brown stoneware; interior glazed glossy white.

Sizing

Approximately 9.5 in across, 1.5 in high.

Care

Food safe, microwave safe and dishwasher safe. Washing by hand is recommended and will keep the glaze looking its best.

Each piece is thrown and glazed by hand, so size, shape and marbling vary from the photographs. On high-fire stoneware the clay body itself shifts between lighter and darker tones from one firing to the next.
