Brooklyn T-Shirt - Navy Space Dye - Organic Cotton

The children's cut of the Brooklyn tee, in navy space dye. Drop shoulder, boxy through the body and made long, so it sits well now and still sits well after a growth spurt instead of riding up at the back.

The jersey is organic cotton, and this colourway is cut from surplus fabric — cloth that had already been made and was sitting unused, put to work rather than ordering more. It is sewn in India in a Fair Trade certified facility, for a company that offsets the carbon produced across every phase of its work and commits 1% of annual sales through 1% for the Planet.

Sizes run from Small, for 4 to 6 years, up to X-Large, for 12 to 14 years. A plain, well-made navy tee is the one that gets worn most, and this one came out of fabric that already existed.

Sizing

The Brooklyn tee is a boxy fit, so the chest measurement is also the widest the shirt gets at the waist. Sizes run true to size, with extra length built in, and if your child is between sizes, size up. The cotton may shrink about 3 to 5% in the first wash. To check a size, measure around the chest just under the armpit, around the waist at its narrowest, and around the fullest part of the hips.

Care

Pre-treat stains with an eco-friendly treatment such as oxygen bleach or castile soap. Wash in cool water. Air dry, or tumble on low. And do not wash what is not dirty.
