Details
The Jules is a worker-style denim pant with a wide, relaxed leg — the kind of trouser that looks considered and wears like a workhorse. The denim is rescued post-consumer cotton, pulled from donated clothing the resale system could not place and already softened by whoever wore it first. Variation in fade and texture from one pair to the next comes with reclaimed fabric: no two are exactly alike.
Slash pockets at the front, patch pockets at the back, both lined with post-consumer shirting. The waist is elasticated with a metal grommet and a twill drawstring, the knees are reinforced, and there is extra length in the leg to cuff now and let down after the next growth spurt. Heirloom Blue is a classic mid-wash; Colorblock puts two tones of rescued denim together with a contrast knee panel.
Jackalo offsets the carbon from the rest of the work, from sorting the waste denim through to your front door, as well as giving 1% of annual sales to 1% for the Planet. Sizes run 4Y to 14Y. Pick a colourway and size above.
Materials
100% post-consumer cotton denim, rescued from donated clothing the resale system could not place. Front and back pocket linings are cut from post-consumer shirting. The waistband is elasticated.
Sizing
Sizes run true to size, with extra length built into the leg. If your child is between sizes, size up. The cotton may shrink about 3–5% on the first wash. These sit 1 to 2 inches below the natural waist. Measure your child to choose: around the chest just under the armpit, around the waist at its narrowest, and around the fullest part of the hips.
Care
Pre-treat stains with an eco-friendly treatment such as oxygen bleach or castile soap. Wash in cool water. Air dry, or tumble dry on low. Don’t wash what isn’t dirty.
Made in
India.
Please note
Check the drawstring is secure before each wear, and remove it if it comes loose.
