Organic Cotton Beetle Mania Print Dress with Pockets

This is the Jo Dress in Beetle Mania: soft organic cotton jersey, screen printed all over with a crowd of colourful beetles and insects. It is the easy throw-on of the drawer, pulled over the head on the way out of the door, and it has proper pockets, which is the difference between a dress a child tolerates and one they choose. Beetles found on the walk to school need somewhere to travel.

Larger arm openings and a relaxed, slightly boxy cut leave room to grow, so it carries through a growth spurt instead of stopping at one. The jersey is softer and more giving than the twill the Jo Dress usually comes in, which makes this the version for hot afternoons, long car journeys and days that end on the floor.

The dress takes its name from Jo March, which is a fair description of who it is for. Jackalo offsets the carbon produced across every phase of its work and commits 1% of annual sales to 1% for the Planet. Add a size and let the beetles out.

Sizing

Sizes run true to size with extra length built in, so size up if your child falls between two. To choose, measure around the chest just under the armpit, around the waist at its narrowest, and around the fullest part of the hips. Organic cotton may shrink about 3 to 5 percent in the first wash.

Care

Pre-treat stains with an eco-friendly treatment such as oxygen bleach or castile soap. Wash in cool water. Air dry, or tumble on low. Do not wash what is not dirty.
