Liquid Laundry Soap

Liquid laundry soap made from MamaSuds' own castile soap with two mineral cleaners, washing soda and sodium tetraborate, and nothing else. There is no extra fat in the soap, so it rinses out rather than building up on fabric or in the machine, which is why it suits cloth diapers and sensitive skin. It works in any machine at any water temperature. Use half a tablespoon to a tablespoon per load in a high-efficiency machine, a tablespoon to a quarter cup in a standard one; many HE owners add it straight to the drum rather than the dispenser. The 64 fl oz bottle runs to about 128 high-efficiency loads. In hard water, add about half a cup of distilled white vinegar to the rinse. Unscented, lavender or lemon.

Ingredients

Water, potassium olivate (saponified olive oil), sodium carbonate, sodium tetraborate. Scented versions add pure lavender or lemon essential oil.
