Youhen Ibushi Matcha Bowl

A matcha bowl in the Youhen Ibushi style — raw and angular, with a texture like cooled lava. The undulating interior is what lets a whisk raise a proper froth, and the bowl is wide enough to drink straight from.

Handmade in Shiga, Japan, in a traditional ceramic style.

Materials

Clay with a food-safe glaze.

Size

4.5" across, 3" high. Holds 16 fl oz.

Care

Hand wash only — rinse and dry thoroughly straight after use. Not suitable for the dishwasher or the microwave. Avoid sudden changes in temperature, which can craze the glaze.
