The Standard Mug

The mug you will reach for every morning. It holds a full 12 oz without becoming a soup bowl, and it is sized to sit comfortably in one hand, with a handle your fingers actually fit through. Each one is made and glazed by hand, so no two come out quite the same.

There are seven glazes, and they are meant to be mixed. Ivory White is soft and creamy with a smooth matte finish. Charcoal Black is a deep satin black. Periwinkle Violet is a gentle, glossy blue. Sunrise Peach is a warm peachy yellow that glows like a morning sky. Berry Red is rich and earthy. Ocean Teal is a calming blue-green with a speckled texture. Sandstone Clear is the quietest of them: a clear glaze over speckled, sand-colored clay, left unglazed from the halfway mark down so you can see and feel the raw material.

Take one, or a set of four or six and mix the shades across your table.

4 in high, 3.5 in across, and 4.75 in deep including the handle. Holds 12 oz. Weighs about 14 oz.

Care

Food, dishwasher and microwave safe, though washing by hand will keep the glaze looking its best. Ceramic gets very hot in a microwave, so take care lifting it out.
