Handcrafted Heart-Shaped Matcha Bowl

A heart-shaped matcha bowl made with the New York ceramicist Marina Caspe, shaped, glazed and finished by hand one at a time. The wide form is the practical part — it gives a chasen room to move, which is what gets a smooth froth — and the soft glaze and gentle curves make it pleasant to hold. In two glazes, Matcha Moss and Cloud White.

Each bowl varies a little, so no two are quite alike.
