Half Charred Ashwood Nesting Bowl Set

A half-charred wood nesting bowl set will become a real friend in any kitchen. Three different size bowls can be used for anything from serving snacks to showcasing the fruits and veggies on the dinner table. Hand-carved from one solid piece of wood charred on the outside to add this beautiful opaque black color and highlight the texture of the wood. Given an oil finish so you can enjoy this incredible natural creation for many years to come. The product size and color can vary slightly due to the handmade origin. Bowls are sold singly in small, medium or large, or together as a set of three.

CREATING COMFORT makes these in its studio in Ukraine and directs part of its proceeds to Ukrainian refugees inside the country.

Materials

Ash wood, hand-carved from a single piece, charred on the outside, with an oil finish.

Size

Small: height 2.55-3.15", diameter 7.45-8.45". Medium: height 2.75-3.5", diameter 9-10". Large: height 3.5-5.5", diameter 11-12".

Care

Hand wash with a mild dish soap and re-oil regularly with food-grade flaxseed oil or a beeswax wood conditioner. Avoid cooking oils such as olive or sunflower, which turn rancid in wood. Do not submerge or soak, which will warp the wood over time. Not dishwasher, microwave or oven safe.

Please note

Hand-carved and charred by hand, so colour, grain and dimensions differ from piece to piece. Natural cracks and marks are part of the wood.
