Dinner Plate in 9"

A dinner plate with a soft, rounded profile and a gently sloped edge, equally at home under a weeknight pasta and a plate you have taken trouble over. The half-dipped glaze is what makes it: color across the top, raw clay below, so you see the warmth of the material the piece is made from.

There are seven glazes, and they are meant to be mixed. Snow White is bright and glossy, crisp against the warm clay body. Charcoal Black is deep and sleek with a satin finish. Periwinkle Violet is a playful, glossy blue-violet. Berry Red is a warm raspberry, rich and full of depth. Sunrise Peach is a pale apricot, gentle and uplifting. Ocean Teal is a matte turquoise with a speckled gradient. Sandstone Clear is clear glaze over speckled sand clay, half-dipped so the raw ceramic shows below.

Take one, or a set of four or six. The 7 in side plates share the same glaze palette if you want a table that matches.

9 in across, 1.25 in high. Weighs about 1.8 lb.

Care

Food, dishwasher and microwave safe, though washing by hand will keep the glaze looking its best. Ceramic gets very hot in a microwave, so take care lifting it out.
