Charred Ash Wood Nesting Bowl Set

Each of these gorgeous wood bowls is handcrafted from a single piece of premium ash wood, then charred to add this beautiful black tone. The process begins with a whole log that's cut in order to obtain the biggest and best bowl. The inner part is then carved out and smoothed to prevent cracking or splitting. With minimal care, this stunningly natural bowl set will last for generations and makes a thoughtful wedding gift. Bowls are sold singly in small, medium or large, or together as a set of three.

Some can have natural cracks or imperfections. Made by hand in CREATING COMFORT's studio in Ukraine.

Materials

Ash wood, hand-carved from a single piece, charred, and finished with flaxseed oil.

Size

Small: height 2.55-3.15", diameter 7.45-8.45". Medium: height 2.75-3.5", diameter 9-10". Large: height 3.5-5.5", diameter 11-12".

Care

Hand wash with a mild dish soap and re-oil regularly with food-grade flaxseed oil, the same finish the studio uses, or a beeswax wood conditioner. Avoid cooking oils such as olive or sunflower, which turn rancid in wood. Do not submerge or soak, which will warp the wood over time. Not dishwasher, microwave or oven safe.

Please note

Hand-carved and charred by hand, so colour, grain and dimensions differ from piece to piece. Natural cracks and marks are part of the wood.
