Berry Bag

Berries spoil from the surface moisture they sit in. This shallow zip-top linen bag gives them room to breathe and draws off that damp, which is the opposite of what a sealed clamshell does.

This is a dry-storage bag. Pick out any bruised or mouldy fruit, put the rest in unwashed, and rinse only before eating. Strawberries and blueberries can share the bag; raspberries and blackberries do better left in the bottom half of their original punnet inside it. Keep it on a fridge shelf or in a low-humidity drawer. The linen is untreated — there is no antimicrobial finish on it.

Finely woven European flax linen with a YKK zipper made in the USA. Hand-sewn in Ojai, California.

10.5" long × 5.5" wide × 3.5" high.

Care

Turn inside out and shake out any leftover bits. Hand wash, or machine wash on gentle in warm water with a natural, non-toxic detergent — baking soda works well. Do not tumble dry. Let it air dry completely before using it again, ideally in the sun.
