Xylophone

A xylophone in soft neutral tones rather than primary colours, so it can stay out in a nursery without shouting. The bars are tuned, which not all children's xylophones are — it plays a real scale rather than approximate notes.

Striking, aiming and listening all at once is most of what a first instrument is for.

Materials

Sustainably sourced wood with a lead-free finish.

Care

Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth.
