Details
A blue rotary phone sits across the front of this ocher tee, under two words of argument: Bring Back Landlines. It is a shirt for the kid who would rather memorise a friend's number than tap it, and for the parent quietly hoping the screen stays in the drawer a while longer.
Underneath the print is Jackalo's Frankie raglan — organic cotton jersey, light enough for a warm classroom and sturdy enough for the walk home. The raglan sleeves leave extra room through the arms and shoulders, so nothing pulls when arms go up, and the body is cut with extra length to buy you another season of wear. The graphic is printed in Washington, DC.
One colourway, ocher, in sizes 4 to 14. Soft, opinionated, and made to be handed on when it is outgrown.
Materials
Organic cotton jersey, sewn at a factory that is both Fair Trade and GOTS certified.
Sizing
Sizes run true to size, with extra length built in. If your child is between sizes, size up. Organic cotton shrinks about 3 to 5% in the first wash. To check a size, measure around the chest just under the armpit, around the waist at its narrowest, and around the fullest part of the hips.
Care
Pre-treat stains with an eco-friendly treatment such as oxygen bleach or castile soap. Wash in cool water. Air dry, or tumble on low. Wash only what needs washing.
