9.5" Dark Brown and White Marbled Ceramic Coupe Bowl

The marbled bowl opened out wide and shallow, which makes it the most useful shape in the range: deep enough for pasta or a dressed salad, flat enough to serve as a plate when you need one. White and dark brown clay thrown together on the wheel, so the marbling runs differently through every single piece.

At 9.5 in across it is the one that anchors a place setting rather than sitting beside it.

Materials

High-fire stoneware. Exterior unglazed white and dark brown stoneware; interior glazed glossy white.

Sizing

Approximately 9.5 in across, 1.5 in high.

Care

Food safe, microwave safe and dishwasher safe. Washing by hand is recommended and will keep the glaze looking its best.

Each piece is thrown and glazed by hand, so size, shape and marbling vary from the photographs. On high-fire stoneware the clay body itself shifts between lighter and darker tones from one firing to the next.
