Beeswax Blackberry Birthday Candles

Ten tiny blackberries for the top of a cake. Each one is cast from real fruit and poured in pure beeswax, so they burn clean for the length of a song and smell faintly of honey rather than paraffin.

The wax comes from one family farm in California’s Central Valley, where thirty-four hives work ten acres of lavender, rosemary, wildflowers, sunflowers and citrus. Keeping those bees thriving for the next generation is the point of the whole operation — and it is why every candle here is poured in pure beeswax, with no paraffin and no fragrance oil.
